Heartless Valentine
There’s something new in my life
A bridge over the workdays
Carrying me over the edge
Of an otherwise insane normality
A new beacon on the shore
An amber patch on final approach
An angel singing in the woods
Nursing a heartless Valentine
There are shadows in the frame
Cast by fragments from the paint
For someone dear to me
Has been named after a sunny land
Is it raining over this desert again?
Will it dry before I fly, will I fly before I die?
Will I be there when it calls, will I fix it when it breaks?
